AWARE has several local annual events to encourage family closeness and community involvement. Every spring, we host our Father-Daughter Dinner and Dance. This year, over 450 Father-Daughter couples joined us for the “My Girl” Father Daughter Dance which included a fantastic dinner, inspiring messages, and fun dancing.
We also have a Community Awareness event where we bring in prominent national, and even international, speakers on the issues of sexual health. Local teachers, counselors and youth pastors are equipped to encourage the teens in their lives to make healthy decisions.
You can become an ILLUSIONS speaker in your community! AWARE created ILLUSIONS to be used for teens and parents to be informed about the potentially harmful results of pornography use. Our Facilitator’s Guides and PowerPoint presentations give you all the tools you’ll need to be involved in your community.
